Student housing is expected to be even more expensive this year, as, according to data from Spitogatos Insights, the average asking price for student housing for rent has increased by 5.3% across the country, against an increase of 5.9% last year.

Based on the average search price from students and their families, in the Municipality of Athens (center of Athens), the average search price is €543, while in the Municipality of Thessaloniki it is €496.

Comparing these figures with the asking prices, in the center of Athens €543 is sufficient for 40 square meters, while in the Municipality of Thessaloniki €496 is enough for about 38 sq.m.
